Mugello Circuit
Also known as the Mugello Circuit - is an Italian automobile and motorbike racing circuit. The MotoGP world championship is held here every year. It is located in the heart of the Mugello countryside and is owned by Ferrari. The track is 5245 metres long and has 14 corners. The track was built on an area of about 170 hectares in 1972. At certain times of the year it is possible to try the circuit with your own car or motorbike for a unique experience.
Monte Senario
In the last decade of the 16th century, Monte Senario was the site of the hermit life of the Order of the Servants of Mary. This place was consecrated by the presence of the first Fathers of the Order, and from 1603, some Hermits chose to live on Monte Senario in a more isolated manner, for a more or less long period of time, in small houses or in caves that tradition says were inhabited by the first Fathers of the Order or by other saints and blessed. Together with the restoration and enlargement of the pre-existing factories, the Hermits took care of the reforestation of Sacro Monte with firs taken from Vallombrosa, Camaldoli and Falterona.
Hills around Florence
Forte Belvedere is one of two fortresses in Florence, from which you can admire a breathtaking view of Florence, art exhibitions are often held here.
Piazzale Michelangelo is a popular square with a magnificent panoramic view of Florence. It was built in 1869 to a design by architect Giuseppe Poggi on a hill just south of the city centre. Villa Demidoff
This is the modern name for what remains of the original Villa Medici located in the park of Pratolino. The Pratolino Park was built for Grand Duke Francesco I de' Medici to a design by Buontalenti.
